 What pension is right?

  • Personal pensions in their current form have been around for a number of years.
  • For some, these pension plans are still a very effective way of saving for your retirement. However, with the introduction of low cost pension options as well as flexible and alternative investments, it’s worthwhile getting expert advice. For some clients the older style of personal pension does not offer the flexibility or the low cost structure of the new breed of personal pensions. If you have had one for quite a long time it may be worth considering your options.
  • Some clients have the old style legacy pension or a SIPP from years ago that may not be exactly suited to their current and future needs. We can review and assess these and advise on whether maintaining the existing arrangement or a change is better for your needs.
  • Some pension plans have transfer penalties that may prove difficult to overcome.
